"The students are at the heart of everything this school undertakes. The school's curriculum is outstanding and opportunities beyond the formal curriculum are impressive. There is excellent and highly effective teaching, which makes good use of the in-depth knowledge all staff have of the students. Settlebeck School Dress Requirements

(September 2011)

Students are expected to observe the school dress conventions as we believe that smart, practical dress is important.  Students will be required to wear full school uniform to and from school; this includes wearing black shoes.  The co-operation of parents is required to ensure that the appearance of their son/daughter is suitable and appropriate for a working school day.  Parents may purchase items listed from any stockist apart from jumpers, sweatshirts, PE shirts and polo shirts which are only available through school (these items appear in *Bold Type*).  We would strongly advise that all articles of clothing are labelled, particularly PE equipment.  Marked clothing rarely gets mislaid, but it is difficult to trace anonymous items.

Please note that spray deodorants are not allowed in school.  However, roll-ons or stick deodorants are acceptable.
