NVQ College courses in Childcare, Hair and Beauty, Motor Vehicle Maintenance, Construction. 

Young Apprenticeships in Catering, Performing Arts and Sports Leadership

Diplomas in Engineering, Creative, Arts and Media, Society, Health and Development 

All the above qualifications involve a day a week at Kendal College or sometimes another South Lakes Federation school. They offer the chance to do a more vocational qualification, at either level 1 (GCSE D-G equivalent) or level 2 (GCSE A*-C equivalent). Many students enjoy the opportunity to work for one day a week with other local youngsters in a different environment from school.
